What is pagealizer?
Pagealizer is a web page analytic service which measures the time spent, which parts of page were viewed, and click locations and suggests what needs to be changed in underperforming pages. In short, a landing page optimization service.
Why should I use Pagealizer?
If your site has a landing page - do you know how long people see your page? Till what part of the page did they scroll?
What is your page effective bounce rate?
Blog owners - do you know if people read your posts or just pass through?
Are visitors directed to landing pages? Know if people read them.
Sites that buy traffic - find out if real people visit your landing pages or are you being scammed?
If you don't know the answer to any or all of these questions, Pagealizer is for you.
How is Pagealizer different from other analytics services?
Most analytics services overwhelm the user with layers of data. Large amounts of data end up hiding the big picture of how well individual pages perform. Pagealizer was created to help owners quickly determine the effectiveness of each web page (login page; subscribe page; learn more page; etc.) rather than the website as a whole.
The main advantages of using Pagealizer:
Most analytics services show you charts and statistics but do not help you interpret it. Pagealizer runs algorithms on your tracked data and pinpoints weaknesses in pages in terms of landing page conversion and user behavior.
Most analytics services show popular links pointing to other pages within the site. Pagealizer records mouse clicks and shows you popular links that link to other sites as well.
All site analytics show you some stats on how long people see your site's landing page. Most site analytic services guess how long a visitor has been on a page by noting when a visitor arrives and when that visitor views another page in the site. This calculation is a good estimate but has its weakness when calculating first page visit length - sometimes there isn't a second page view. This metric is very important (but missing or not accurate) for landing/sales pages which many times do not trigger another page view. If visitors leave your site after 2 seconds something is wrong with your graphics or layout. But if visitors leave after 10 seconds your page copy does not have conversion exits or is not appealing. In both cases there is a bounce and in both cases common analytics will not know how long the visitor has seen your site. If landing page conversion is your goal, you need to learn all you can on the way people read your landing page. Pagealizer tracks actual visit length so you know exactly what kind of bounce rate your site is experiencing.
Pagealizer tracks how far visitors scroll down your page. If you have long pages and most people don't scroll, they may be missing your message and so the landing page conversion drops. You might need to think whether you should revise your page to catch visitors' attention or relocate more critical components in order to increase landing page conversion.
Finally, all site statistics can be downloaded to a spreadsheet if you want to do further analysis.

How does Pagealizer know how to improve my landing page conversion?
Pagealizer gives you knowledge and not data. Based on your landing page visit statistics, Pagealizer's patent pending algorithms tell you which elements in the landing page need to be fixed for landing page optimization.
How does Pagealizer's landing page optimization work?
To use Pagealizer on your site you need to add a small amount of JavaScript to your web pages. The JavaScript will collect information about page visits and will send it to Pagealizer where you can:
View real time reports.
Learn how long people visit your site landing page.
See how far down the landing page visitors scroll.
See heatmaps of where people clicked their mouse.
Get suggestions on how to improve your landing page conversion.
Does Pagealizer JavaScript interfere with other JavaScript component of my site?
No, our JavaScript works independently and outside of all other components of a site.
How much does it cost?
There are both free and paid subscription plans. Visit our pricing page to learn more.
Is my site statistics private?

Can I host Pagealizer on my own server?

What does Nielsen/NetRatings think of visit length metrics?
Nielsen//NetRatings research, announced that it added "Total Minutes" to its syndicated Internet audience measurement service so it would deliver greater perspective on total engagement across sites.
Rich Internet Application (RIA) technologies like AJAX and streaming (both audio/video and other content like sports scoreboards and live stock quotes) have greatly enhanced the consumer experience, yet pose special challenges to Internet audience measurement. AJAX refreshes content without reloading entire Web pages and streaming provides dynamically changing content within a single page or a media player.
While a page view metric under-credits such engagement, the total minutes metric provides a common denominator for user behavior that is independent of site design. Total Minutes is the best engagement metric in this initial stage of Web 2.0 development, not only because it ensures fair measurement of web sites using RIA and streaming media, but also of web environments that have never been well-served by the page view, such as online gaming and Internet applications.
